A fire broke out at the Atyrau Oil Refinery (ANPZ), one of Kazakhstan’s three major oil processing plants, the press service of national company KazMunayGas (KMG) said. No one was injured.
The blaze occurred at a closed-type mechanical treatment facilities settler. The plant continues to operate normally, the company added.The Atyrau refinery has a design capacity of 5.5 million tonnes of crude oil per year.
Earlier, Kazakhstan agreed to process Russian oil.
