A mass shooting took place on Bondi Beach. Preliminary reports indicate at least 10 people killed, including children, and around 60 injured. At least two terrorists opened fire. Videos circulating on social media show a civilian disarming one of the attackers by approaching from behind.

The shooting began in the evening during a festive event for the Jewish community, attended by around 2,000 people. Eyewitnesses described panic and chaos.
The incident is being treated as a terrorist attack targeting the Jewish community. Armed attackers reportedly fired, possibly from a nearby pedestrian bridge.
The shooting occurred while one of the community leaders was speaking to the crowd. A member of Australia’s Jewish community stated that the event was organized by the Chabad movement and was primarily intended for families with young children.
