A recent analysis drawing on the latest map from the pro-Kremlin Telegram channel Rybar points to a significant operational breakthrough by Ukraine’s Armed Forces (AFU) in the Lyman direction of eastern Ukraine.
The assessment states that the situation for Russian forces is deteriorating rapidly.According to the report, Lyman has been liberated and now serves as a solid base for Ukrainian advances further north. AFU units are bypassing Russian strongpoints near Drobysheve, creating pockets that trap isolated Russian formations.
Critical supply routes — roads C051020 and 00526 — are under Ukrainian fire control, disrupting logistics. Ukrainian armored forces are also pushing toward the Zherebets River, posing a threat to the western flank of Russian-held areas in Luhansk.
The analysis describes these developments as evidence of a systemic failure in Russian defensive lines. It concludes that the AFU has seized the initiative, moving from localized gains to a broader strategic offensive in the sector.
